The Ministry of Education and Research creates constant and continuous conditions and assumptions in order to guarantee an access to life-long learning for all people in Estonia, which would enable them to achieve new standards of living.
The Ministry of Education and Research integrates traditional educational values with contemporary development trends. More than half of the inhabitants of Estonia are involved in one way or other in the education system as pupils, students, teachers, tutors, lectors, researchers or parents. The system of education should be flexible to provide education respecting individual aptitudes and differences of every learner.
It is essential to maintain the goal-oriented, long-term and considered approach to the development of the education system. The Ministry of Education and Research is working on different educational projects on different levels, realising new ideas and concepts. The Ministry may succeed while carrying out its mission only with the full support of its partners.
