Adam from the U.S. writes:

"I came to Estonia in November, 2005 for the fall semester of my senior year in college. Studying at the Estonian Academy of Arts (Kunstiakadeemia) was one of the most exciting, fun, and creative moments of my undergraduate work. I had a chance to look at my art work in a different way, work with intelligent and creative people (Estonian students and Erasmus exchange students), and went to some great parties.

My friends and I went camping in Haapsalu, hitch hiked to Pärnu, had a tram party, and a drag ball. But it's not all fun and games, Estonia's one of those places where they take education very seriously. My professors were some of the toughest critics I've ever had. I would recommend to anyone to come study here. A lot of people who’ve studied here have come back to Estonia including me. In fact, I even bought land to build a farm here."

Uve from Estonia writes:

"Studying at Tallinn University was a fulfilling experience for me both in academic terms as well as in regard to extra-curricular activities. I became heavily involved with the Tallinn Debate Society and the Estonian Debate Society as a debater, judge, coach, society leader, and event organiser, which were all remarkably educational positions.

Additionally, as president of the Tallinn Debate Society, Head of Fundraising for several for debate projects, and Estonian Debating Society's Chair of Council, I gained valuable management and business experience. Organising international debate tournaments such as the European Universities Debating Championships and the society's annual international competition enabled me to work alongside some of Europe's brightest young minds. Organising international events always provide a challenge, but it feels amazing to see hundreds of happy students leave your event with a smile on their face and a promise to return."

Giorgi from Georgia writes in the Spring of 2008:

"Estonia has already become my spiritual homeland. Every place and moment from this year and the one before has become extremely valuable to me.

I will definitely remember and miss crazy Erasmus parties, football, Pirita and my best friend from Szczecin - Tomasz. My desire is to have one more wonderful year in Tallinn and to extend my Estonian happiness."

Vojtech from the Czech Republic writes in the Autumn of 2008:

"I got a lot from Estonia. The most beautiful moments for me were walking on the narrow streets of Tallinn, alone or with someone. The city has a lovely atmosphere and stays as my favourite city in my mind. I would love to come back here in the future."

Ngoc Trinh from Vietnam writes in the Autumn of 2008:

"Once when I bought some flowers, but the shopkeeper didn’t want to take money from me and with a smile, she told me “that’s a gift”.

My best memories of Tallinn and Estonia are the yellow leaves, followed by snow everywhere…it’s so beautiful; splendid sightseeing, new things I’ve learned, the friends I have met, and my tutor. All this has made this semester the best I've ever had."
